Niebur Dachshunds for 27 Years.

Dave and Lynn Niebur met in 1978 and married at the end of 1979. They found and moved to their present home On July 4, 1980. Having grown up with Standard Dachshunds,  Lynn convinced Dave that they could not live  or raise their two children Michael and Katherine without a big Standard Red boy.  In a good marriage you  have to compromise once in awhile; so, Lynn settled for a beautiful Red Standard Smooth bitch, (“Just in case we want to have a litter sometime” said Dave). 

Our Field CH Lemen’s Misha of Wynwood, CG, CGC, JE (AKC Bench Pointed),  came from the Lemen Kennels in Sandy, Oregon. With guidance and mentoring from Myrtle Lemen, Misha and two years later, Maddie, CH Lemen’s Sweet Madam Blue, JE, CG, CGC, VC (major AKC Field Pointed), became the foundation bitches for all of the Niebur’s Standard Smooth Dachshunds we all know and love today.

On this website we will introduce you more in depth with the dogs that represent  our breeding program and family today and we will also highlight many of the Niebur Dachshunds that have passed through and touched our lives in their own individual loving ways.
