Named after my favorite ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov, Misha came into our lives and
provided our family with all of the opportunities and gifts this wonderful world of purebred dog shows and performance events have given us. You could say that we attempted showing Misha
at dog shows, her favorite stack for the judge was laying on her back and she did win a handful of Reserve Winner ribbons, but you could tell that it just wasn’t her thing. What we did find out though, was that Misha could hunt and track and she excelled in the field like very few others at that time. Misha became an AKC Field champion and went onto earn AWTA Den trial titles and an AKC Canine Good Citizen title. She and Dave took Top Dog in a very difficult 10 week Obedience Class and when entered at her first AKC Obedience test, and released to walk off lead next to Dave for judging, Misha proceeded to turn around, walk ever so ladylike out of the ring, and proclaim with that look, that she was done with Obedience. Misha was bred three times and gave us and many families some very special pups to love. She was bred to the same dog each time (we were beginners remember), and always had red pups out of AM/Can/Int CH Lemen’s Nimm Nicholas.
From our very first litter, born on Katy’s 3rd birthday July 3rd, came the first Big Red boy Niebur’s Max-A-Million.
There were many other pups with many other stories and some of those you will find on this site. We love and miss you so very much Misha. ‘
Thank you Mamadog.
